Born on February 8th of the year 1988 to Ismael and Esther Soto-Gomez, I am a brother to two older sisters (Gloria Soto-Gutierrez and Elizabeth Soto) and a younger brother (Jesus Soto).
Living in Milwaukee, WI the entirety of his life, it was only fair I be given the opportunities to explore the world beyond the stereotypical bubble I was put in as a child. Graduating from Nativity Jesuit Middle School with honors in 2002 would soon prepare me for the culture shock I would receive as a student at Marquette University High School. However, regardless of the classism and judgement from many of my classmates, I graduated with a scholarship to Marquette University, beginning my college career immediately in the summer of 2006 as as part of Marquette University's Educational Opportunity Program.
Currently a Senior majoring in Computer Engineering, much of my free-time is spent on schoolwork, discovering new things, volunteering, and currently holding membership in Students for an Environmentally Active Campus. Serving as an Executive Member, Vice-President, and President within the 3 years I have been a member has allowed me to appreciate environmental activism by participating in events hosted on, as well as off-campus with Energy Action Coalition, Urban Ecology Center, Forest Ethics, Growing Power, Greener Milwaukee, Four Corners of the World, Wisconsin Fair Trade Coalition, and many more! Most recently, SEAC at Marquette University became the first campus in the US to host a bike-powered concert.
I also enjoy foreign cuisine, modern/eco-friendly/minimalistic architecture, multifarious genres of music, and of course, fashion.
